Code Collector Pro 1.2.2 released
Posted on 30/04/2008 at 04:08 PM in
We’ve just released version 1.2.2 of Code Collector Pro. This update now includes the Ruby and the Rails textmate bundles by default in Code Collector Pro, we’ve also added an item at the bottom of the languages menu in the inspector for adding new languages and help buttons in the preferences to link to our online documentation (which no longer uses Javascript to switch page). This is to try and make it a bit clearer that you aren’t limited to just the included bundles and hopefully reduce those sorts of support requests ![]()
We’ve also added the ability to jump to the search field with Command-Option-F. It seems this is a pretty standard shortcut across OS X but I’d never encountered it before. Thanks to Takaaki Kato for pointing it out. We’ve also had a number of people complaining about Applescript not being coloured. We’ve fixed this, though it’s been a bit hacky. As the hacks are building up on our syntax colouring engine we’re probably going to have to have another look at it in the future. The last bugfix was an issue with new snippets ignoring your default language settings. This has been fixed and normal service has been resumed.
Hopefully the next big announcement you’ll hear from us will be around the end of May, so keep your ears peeled as the next few months are going to be an exciting time for M Cubed.

The M Cubed EULA

There should be nothing unexpected in there. Most of it is just writing down stuff that has been implied for quite a while. Of course, if anyone has any major issues with it then please get in contact with us and we can discuss it.

What’s Happening At M Cubed…. Issue 1.

First off, I'm going to be starting work on CCP 1.2.2 soon. Most support requests have essentially been summed up as "we'll look into it for 1.2.2". There are quite a few minor but still rather annoying bugs that we'll be trying to fix in this release. The reason it's taken so long to get started on 1.2.2 is due to work that has been going on on a new product we're hoping to release in the near future. I'm not going to give away too much now but if you need to do issue tracking then I think that it could help you quite a bit.
On the topic of Code Collector Pro, we got contacted by a user a while ago with a rather nice icon for CCP. If you fancy a bit of a change from our icon then you may like to have a look at the icon.
CodeCollector.net has also been a little bit neglected since it's launch but hopefully we'll be adding some nice improvements along with 1.2.2, including password reset, email confirmations of your account details and the ability to delete your account if you so wish.
And last but not least, I'm now on twitter. If you want to ask any questions or just want to hear my ramblings in condensed form then send me a message or start following me.
Until next time...
